Krzysztof Franaszek
Krzysztof Franaszek, born in 1981 in Lublin, lives and works in Warsaw. His art includes sculpture, installation and drawing. He holds a MA degree (2006) from the Department of Sculpture, Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw as well as PhD in Fine Arts (2013). He has worked at his Alma Mater in Warsaw since 2006. A former fellow with Christian Jankowski’s Studio at the Staatliche Akademie der Bildenden Künste in Stuttgart (2005); winner of the scholarship of the Polish Minister of Culture and National Heritage (2009, 2018, 2020).
His works were presented at numerous solo exhibitions among others in: Ujazdowski Castle Centre for Contemporary Art, Warsaw ( 2013); Studio Gallery, Warsaw (2009). He participated in many group exhibitions in Poland and abroad including: New Museum, New York (2008); Asian Art Biennale, Bangladesh (2018); BWA Lublin (2009); IX International Biennale of Contemporary Art in St. Petersburg (2009); Kunst Museum – Staatliche Akademie, Stuttgart (2005). His projects were realized in public space in Poland, Netherlands, Germany and Lithuania. Works in private collections and in PKO Polish Bank Collection.
